After-death Messages 9/11

Death is at once
The end of the body’s
Old journey
And the beginning of the soul’s
New journey.

                                --Sri Chinmoy

Today is the 18th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

Whenever I think about this tragedy, I think about a wonderful book entitled, Messages--Signs, Visits, and Premonitions from Loved Ones Lost on 9/11.

Bonnie McEneaney, whose husband died on 9/11 wrote this book. McEneaney, a mother and former business executive before 9/11 would have described herself as skeptical about paranormal or spiritual experiences.

But after her husband was killed, several compelling personal experiences convinced her otherwise.

In talking to people who had also lost loved ones on 9/11, she found her experiences were reflected in others who had also lost people they loved. This set her on a path, where she interviewed many people who had lost relatives on September 11, 2001.

She shares these stories as well as her own in her book. They can neither be ignored nor explained away. Many of them reflect signs or messages that these people received from their deceased loved ones after 9/11.

Some people she interviewed also saw the apparition of their deceased relatives.

McEneaney points out these sightings were not just delusions or wishful thinking, but actual spiritual experiences.

Many of these encounters whether they were signs, messages or after-death manifestations reassured all these people left behind, that their lost loved ones were okay.

McEneaney now has a firm belief that death isn’t the end, that there is “another side”.

Here is one experience that she shares early on in her book.

A woman who lost her husband in the South Tower, on 9/11, traveled with her young daughter, to Ireland, to attend a family wedding.

While at the church where this wedding took place, she watched her young daughter leave on her own--which she had never done before--and walk out on a grassy field.

The mother took a photo of her daughter as she knelt on the grass. When she looked at this photo later, she was surprised to see a bright beam of light radiating down on her daughter.

As she took this photo, she had not seen this light. In fact, it was a typical cloudy day in Ireland.

Once home, her father-in-law took this camera with the photo to an expert. He found nothing wrong with the camera, or the picture. The mother feels this light is a sign that her husband is still watching out for her and their daughter.

Bonnie McEneaney includes this photograph of this little girl in Ireland in her book. It is compelling.
